Verizon plans to allow banner advertising on your cellphone starting in 2007. Analyst are predicting that there will 1.3 billion spent on cell phone advertising in the near future. I think this will be something worth keeping track of. If you are an affiliate marketer this can be a new niche that might be worth targerting for the future. I am not sure what
part of it might be worth exploring as of yet, but it is something that is worth keeping track of. One question that I wonder about is how are they planning to show ads on our cell phones when we pay money or spend minutes
to get online using our cell phone? So basically we will be paying to see ads. This will be a big issue with consumers.
