Hard lesson learned this month

The reason that it seemed like I’ve been a way so long is that because my hardrive crash earlier this month and it’s taking me a few weeks to recover.Like the IDIOT that I can sometimes be, I did not back my files like I should have and I pretty much loss everything from this whole year. I have techs trying to recover my files now for me, but I am not putting much hope on it. I have been so busy trying to get things up and running that I forgot the most important that every business owner or darn near everyone should be doing at least once every few weeks and that is to back up their files.

Well I can’t say I didn’t learn anything in July :(

I have never backed up my files and I’ve had my computer for about 8 years. Now that I have read your note I am sure this is GODS way of telling me to get it done. Nice little heads up before the CRASH!! Anyway I do not know how to do this could you tell me? Thank you, Becky Shuta

Hey Becky.

Well what I bought was a Maxtor Portable Hardrive from Radioshack for 50 dollars.( normally 80-125 depending on the gigs you want) It was that cheap because at the time I was working at radioshack and got a huge discount. Anywasy I had it for about 4 months before my hardrive crash, but never used it. Its pretty easy to use. It takes less than a few minutes and with 8 years of work it will be worth it. Trust me.

I know your pain Stan. Happened to me once. I had a virus that I couldn’t get rid of without reformatting my hard drive. Lost EVERYTHING!. That’s really bad when your entire inventory is sitting on your hard drive.
