Installed my First PHP Script Today and Loving It
As a marketer you really need to wear many different hats. I never was much of a programmer, but I can create basic websites and edit html with no problem. But Php was always something that I was not really good at. I could read it and make subtle changes when need be to my sites that used php but nothing major. One of my goals for 2008 is to learn php to the point that I can instal scripts and do major php work. Well, I just took my first baby steps into that avenue a few minutes ago. I just installed my first script today. It took me 30 minutes to do and I took my time to do it right. At least that I am hoping everything goes right.
From database creation to installing and editing the php files that I needed to do to get the script to run, I think I did a great job.
The only reason I installed this script today was because the programmer that I was going to pay 10 a hour to do it was a sleep and I said the heck with this,let me see I can do it and I did. I give myself an A+ 
All I have to say now is that I am going to save a lot of money in 08 if I can learn some php and script installation to the point that I don’t have to outsource little jobs anymore.
To my programmer Ajay.. Watch out , I am on your heels:)
