Okay, My Press Release just got PRSlapped by PRWeb

Well, I tried writing my own press release, but it came out all wrong.. Even though it was 1034 in characters in length… it still got rejected by PRWeb.com .. Here was their reason.. As you can see it’s 3 reason, so it was really bad.

* PRWeb does not offer expanded distribution for general interest articles, blog posts, “open letters” and the like that lack attribution and/or news value. Please revise your content in a standard press release format to explicitly announce or clarify the news angle and/or to credit the source of your information.

* Your press release uses direct address. The use of “you” and “I” outside of a quotation from a spokesperson from your company or organization is a flag that the content is an advertisement rather than a news release. Additionally, while “you,” “we” and “I” are not search terms, your company name, service or products are. Removing direct address improves the tone of your release and keeps the focus on your keyword terms for online visibility. Please revise using the more professional sounding third-person tone.

* PRWeb no longer distributes news releases with an excessive amount of links. Please limit your link count to 1 per 100 words. This policy is in place to protect the value of the links that you include in your release and the value of links within the PRWeb network.

* Your press release content appears to lack a news announcement. Please include a clear, timely and newsworthy angle in your headline, summary and lead paragraph. Common news angles include timely information about a new product or service, a business expansion or event, an organizational milestone like an anniversary or award or the issuance of a tip sheet or expert opinion on a newsworthy subject.

And to tell you the truth, they are 100 percent correct. My press release page even thought it was long was pretty much a sales copy for one of my sites… I tried to sneak one pass them, but they slapped the S… out of it back to me. Hold the PRESS… lol

So tomorrow it’s time to go to Elane.com and find a writer who specialize in this stuff. Sometimes it’s just hard to cut corners.. sometimes you just have to pay to get things done the correct way. I would go to script lance to find someone, but they are acting dumb right now so I will go to something more Professional.
